Product Reference: B119BR

This classic large field sports knife has been a super seller going back some 47 years. Hoyt and Al Buck used to build them by hand in their two man shop. Today, this larger field sports knife with a large clip blade for detail work, piercing and cutting in tight places for added control, is as popular as ever.

Manufactured in the USA using:

  • 420HC - Our standard steel, with great blade retention and corrosion resistance. The industry standard is easily resharpened. For best performance, we harden to standard Rc 58.
BLADE SHAPE: Clip
STEEL TYPE: 420HC Stainless Steel
BLADE LENGTH: 6" | 15.2cm
LOCKING: Yes (Fixed)

WEIGHT: 7.5oz | 214g
HANDLE: Cocobola Dymondwood with brass guard
CARRY SYSTEM: Heavy duty leather sheath (black)
ORIGIN: Built in the USA
PRODUCT LEVEL: AVID
  • 25 year warranty

420HC: This is Buck's standard blade material because it approaches the wear resistance of high carbon alloys while delivering the corrosion resistance of chromium stainless steels.

Clip: The crescent tip makes the blade thinner with a sharper point. This shape provides good control for detail work and cutting in tight places. It is also well suited for intentional punctures like new holes in your belt, etc.

5Iconic design and exceptional quality

This is buck's most popular fixed blade knife , and it's a stunning example of traditional craftsmanship that is becoming less common today . The highly polished brass and rich cocobolo wood ( sourced from South America ) , is a perfect balance , and looks and feels like a traditional hunting knife . It's made in the USA and the blade steel is 420HC with a heat treatment , which makes an incredibly strong and sharp blade . I would also trust this as a survival knife , as its full tang blade and strong handle materials make it about as durable as you can get . This knife comes with a beautiful brown leather sheath that matches the wood perfectly . I would go as far to say that this is probably one of the best hunting , survival , and outdoor knives available . Overall this is excellent value for money , and an extremely high quality and traditional product . This knife is basically an American icon in design , and not to mention it's made by buck , a company with rich history . A good investment , in a good company .
